Overview of the role

Salaried Judges of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber (IAC) have both judicial and judicial management duties but are primarily required to determine appeals against decisions of the Secretary of State. Appeals in the IAC include but are not limited to: persons seeking asylum or humanitarian protection, high profile cases including appeals related to permission to stay in the United Kingdom, deportation, and other clearance - as well as applications for immigration bail. Judges are expected to conduct hearings face to face and remotely and can handle a wide range of often complex cases, communicating reasoned decisions usually in writing.

Salary/Fee: £139,469.00
