
NIJAC is inviting applications for an Employment Judge for the office of Industrial Tribunals and Fair Employment Tribunal (ITFET).
It is intended to make one appointment and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from anticipated date of appointment (but no more than 15 months from the published anticipated appointment date). It is anticipated that up to 3 further vacancies could arise during the lifetime of the reserve list.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for appointment as a Salaried Employment Judge is to, by the anticipated date of appointment (Monday 1st December 2025):
i.) have a seven year general qualification within the meaning of section 71 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990; or
ii.) be an advocate or solicitor admitted in Scotland of at least seven years’ standing; or
iii.) be a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland or solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland of at least seven years’ standing.
Salary: £134,105 per annum. This judicial appointment is to a full time salaried and pensionable role.
