The Northern Ireland Judicial Appointments Commission (NIJAC) is responsible for the recruitment and selection of members of the Judiciary in respect of over 900 judicial offices across Northern Ireland.

NIJAC is inviting applications for the following staff positions.

Judicial Appointments Managers

1 x Permanent Full-Time. Ref: JAM2021-1
1 x Temporary Full-Time to cover maternity leave. Ref: JAM2021-2

The post holders will, as part of a small but busy team, work closely with colleagues and
Commissioners to ensure an effective and co-ordinated approach to the appointment
and renewal of judicial offices. Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in an HR role; AND
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial role including the management of people; AND
  • Demonstrable IT systems experience (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, or other similar systems); AND
  • Associate level CIPD membership.

Salary range: £31,137 - £32,800.

Human Resources Business Partner

(Part-Time - 0.6 FTE) Ref: HRBP2021

The HRBP is NIJAC’s professional lead on organisational HR/OD matters and will provide an efficient operational service and contribute effectively at Senior Leadership Team level to the Commission’s strategic development.

Applicants must have:

  • Full CIPD membership; AND
  • 3 years’ HR management experience with organisational/departmental responsibility for two out of the three areas of: Employee Relations, Resourcing and Learning & Development; AND
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR and OD strategy.

Salary range: £38,017 - £41,799 (pro rata)
