District Judge (Magistrates' Court) x2

NIJAC is now inviting applications for the office of District Judge (Magistrates’ Court).

It is intended to make two appointments and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from the anticipated date of appointment (30 April 2022).

The purpose of this judicial office is to administer justice in accordance with the law without fear or favour, affection or ill-will.

This recruitment has been deemed as suitable for full-time or flexible working, where for example term-time or working for block periods may be considered.

 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for appointment as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) a person must, by the anticipated date of appointment (30 April 2022) be;

 

  • a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland of at least seven years standing; or
  • a solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland of at least seven years standing.

 

Fee: £114, 793 per annum. This post is pensionable.
