The Department of Justice is seeking to appoint two Legal Commissioners to the Parole Commissioners for Northern Ireland.
Your experience could work to safeguard the public in ways you may have never considered. The Parole Commissioners for Northern Ireland are an independent body, critical to the process of deciding whether offenders eligible for parole are safe to release back into the community. Public protection is always paramount and painstaking risk assessment is the key to making a robust decision.
Time commitment for the role will vary dependent on the number of cases undertaken. Commissioners receive a set payment for each completed case. These payments are taxable.
All applicants must meet the following essential criteria: Teamworking; Analytical Thinking; Judgement and Decision Making; Expertise; Planning and Organisation and Communication.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 8, 9, 10, 20 and 21 June 2022.
