Northern Ireland Valuation Tribunal. Vacancies for Ordinary Members.

NIJAC is inviting applications for the office of Fee-Paid Ordinary Member of the Northern Ireland Valuation Tribunal (NIVT). 

It is intended to make three appointments and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from the anticipated date of first appointment (31 May 2024).

The NIVT hears and determines appeals in a number of statutory areas, including against Capital Value rating assessments for domestic property in Northern Ireland.   

Applications are welcome from all persons with an interest in the work of the NIVT. No previous experience in Valuation is required.

The fee-paid Ordinary Member will sit as a member of the NIVT panel with a Legally Qualified Chairman and an experienced Valuation Member.

Fee: Ordinary Members are paid a fee for each day’s sitting. The rates are £191.28 per day; £95.64 per half day; £95.64 per day for training
