Fee Paid Legally Qualified Member of the Appeal Tribunals x 18

NIJAC is inviting applications for the office of Fee Paid Legal Members of the Appeal Tribunals.

It is intended to make 18 appointments and to maintain a reserve list for 12 months from the anticipated date of the first appointment (13 May 2024).

The main function of Fee Paid Legal Members is to hear and determine appeals.  

Eligibility:

To be eligible for appointment as a Legal Member of the Appeal Tribunals is to, by 13 May 2024, be:

  • a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland; 
    or
  • a solicitor of the Court of Judicature of Northern Ireland.

Fee: £542.38 per full day sitting. This post is pensionable.

Closing date: Monday 15 January 2024 at 12 noon.
