Case Studies
Case Studies are just one way in which we assess an applicant's suitability for judicial office.
On this page you will find adapted Case Studies which were used in previous schemes.
County Court Judge Assessment
The case studies and written exercises below formed part of the assessment methods used in the County Court Judge recruitment exercise held during November 2011.
The first booklet contains a Criminal Case Study and a Civil Law Case Study. Applicants were given 30 minutes to read both and were then asked to answer questions verbally at interview. These questions were provided in advance and applicants were allowed to take notes.
The second booklet contained a case study on Family Law. Applicants were given 60 minutes to read the information provided and submit a written answer to 3 questions.
